The scorpion tailed boat was inspired by the imagination of an ancient ship builder while observing the scorpion's tail of which will always stand up to protect itself while stand on a coconut shell. And so the idea lead to the building of the scorpion tailed boats following research and the launching of the ping river cruise business by samak, aman who has a passionate ambition to conserve and revive the ancient boat for young generations of ChiangMai.
